We might imagine that if Iran were to collapse it might be a result of Israel winning the war against them or America bombing their nuclear site, or the international sanctions. However, these are not the greatest problems or threats to Iran and the regime. The greatest threat against Iran today is a lack of water. A severe drought combined with poor mismanagement of the country's water resources, have led to a crisis. A crisis so great that there is talk of having to move the population out of the capital city Tehran!
Radio Free Europe reports: "Iran's Water Crisis Nears Point Of No Return”
"Decades of mismanagement compounded by prolonged drought have pushed Iran to the brink of what experts call water bankruptcy.
"With reservoirs running on empty and rainfall at a record low, the authorities have begun rationing water supplies in the Iranian capital, Tehran, a city of some 10 million people.
"President Masud Pezeshkian has warned the water crisis could lead to the evacuation of parts of Tehran and went as far as floating the possibility of moving the capital.”
The article continues,
"Iran is currently in the grips of the worst drought in some 60 years.

"If it doesn't rain, we'll have to start rationing water in [November]. If the lack of rainfall continues past that, we simply won't have water and will have to evacuate Tehran," Pezeshkian said earlier this month, though other officials have sought to downplay the need to move the capital.”
The BBC reports, "Iran faces unprecedented drought as water crisis hits Tehran.”
Forbes says, "In Drought-Stricken Iran, Nature Is Doing What Sanctions And Airstrikes Could Not.”
Let’s rephrase that. In Drought-Stricken Iran, God Is Doing What Sanctions And Airstrikes Could Not!

While the war with Israel and the action of America, might be attributed by many solely to man — not seeing the unseen hand of God behind these things. A drought to any who believe in the Creator, is directly seen as the finger of the God of heaven. Even those in Iran are praying to their God for rain — not knowing the God of Israel. The Times of Israel reports, "Hundreds in Tehran pray for rain as historic drought empties Iran’s reservoirs.” The article summary reads, "Rainfall in capital city at lowest level in a century; half of Iran’s provinces haven’t seen a drop in months; last week, president warned of evacuations if drought lasts.”
The Creator has used drought in the past to discipline his people Israel. God declares through the prophet Haggai in chapter 1:10,11:
"Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.”
The Almighty Creator has spoken through the prophet Zechariah, that in the future kingdom age, those nations that do not come up to celebrate the feast of tabernacles will not have any rain. Zechariah 14:16,17
"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain."
At the time of the great day of God Almighty, prophesied in Ezekiel 38, Iran or Persia, is one of the nations who is an adversary to Israel. "Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet.” From this we learn that at that time Iran or Persia is an adversary to the regathered Jewish people. Today Iran has set itself as a great adversary to the Jewish development in the land. The tentacles of Iran have been trying to strangle and destroy the Jewish state. Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas primarily in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen are all examples of the tentacles of Iran.
Also at the time of the restoration again of the kingdom to Israel, Psalm 148:7,8 tell us that the Creator will use the weather to “fulfill his word.” This Psalm is one of the 5 great Hallelujah Psalms, that finish the book of Psalms and speak primarily of the time of the restoration again of the kingdom to Israel. These verses read:
"Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word.”
The drought in Iran is the finger of God, turning them back from their design to destroy the regathered Jewish people.
It is worth noting, that the drought has been compounded by mismanagement and neglect of the country's management of water resources. Israel also has limited water resources and has become a world leader in desalination technology. In fact this week, Israel began pumping desalinated water into the Sea of Galilee to help alleviate their water problems. By contrast, Iran has no water desalination plants. Instead of investing in this technology they have foolishly invested much of their nations resources in producing weapons to destroy Israel and trying to obtain nuclear weapons! If they had invested this money in desalination, they would be in a far better position.
In Drought-Stricken Iran, God Is Doing What Sanctions And Airstrikes Could Not! We are seeing the hand of God in the affairs of the world in a dramatic way! The Creator is showing us that the time to favour Zion has come and the time is limited before the great day arrives!
