	Is the European Debt Crisis getting Boring? Europe moving toward a pre-determined end.

The European debt crisis has been going on for so long now, that it has honestly become pretty boring. How long can politicians discuss whether Greece should leave the Eurozone or not? It has been discussed ad nauseum, whether Greece would be poorer in the Eurozone or out of it. The consensus seems to be they would be more financially strapped if they left. So, why not just decide to stay and deal with austerity? The real question however, which seems to be rarely mentioned, as if it was almost a taboo subject, is if Greece should relinquish her sovereignty or not? If that is the question, would not the clear answer be to leave the Eurozone? Isn't freedom worth much more that a few years of austerity? Maybe the answer is that Greece's sovereignty is long gone, as will the sovereignty of the other Eurozone nations, which are on the brink of bankruptcy.

The Economist addresses the issue in the lead article entitled, "Tempted Angela?", although in much softer terms. The countries of the Eurozone would be giving up a measure of sovereignty, leading to a more "federal Europe". The Economist comments: "The euro could have been saved a long time ago, had the politicians agreed on who should pay what or on how much sovereignty to surrender."

Canada's National Post on August 17th, in an article entitled: "Greece’s future in eurozone more secure, analysts increasingly believe", seems to come to the conclusion that the whole fiasco is no longer about economics, but about politics and that this is driving analysts to believe that Greece will be staying in the Eurozone no matter what. The article states: "For economists, Greece’s future in the eurozone is no longer an economic question but one of political willpower, which remains firm in Athens and Brussels, in spite of opposition from politicians in Germany."

Today the UK Telegraph Reporting Live on the Debt Crisis, noted that the: "German newspaper Handelsblatt reports today that the European Commission will next month propose giving the European Central Bank supervision over all of the eurozone's major banks."

So the real questions are quite momentous. The decisions being made will shape the future Europe, both East and West. Will the nations of Europe be willing to give up their sovereignty? Do they even have a choice? Will a "more federal" Europe lead to a European Empire? Have the nations of Europe been unwittingly trapped by the Euro currency and now there is no way out? This does make for a boring discussion if the outcome has already been determined.

In fact, the outcome has already been determined and not by European politicians. Millennia ago the great king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar, saw a dream concerning the future phases of his kingdom. These phases amazingly condensed the history of thousands of years into one simple symbol. The dreadful image which Nebuchadnezzar saw, was clearly defined by the prophet Daniel. Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold. Next came the Medo-Persian kingdom, then the Brazen Greeks, followed by the iron Romans. Finally the image kingdom became an unstable base of iron and clay which would not mix together. Yet Daniel tells the king: "Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together..." From this description by Daniel we understand that this great image will be destroyed together, and if destroyed together it must stand together. So this empire descended from the Roman Empire, which became the Holy Roman Empire and then the mixed nations of Europe, will yet stand together and be destroyed together. Upon these ruins of the kingdom of men the God of heaven will establish a kingdom: "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." (Daniel 2:44)

The same story is told in the vision of the four beasts who are depicted in Daniel chapter 7. The same story is repeated in order to portray different details and aspects of the kingdom of men, by the use of suitable symbols. Babylon is the lion, the bear the Medes and Persians, then there is the Grecian Leopard and the dreadful and terrible Roman beast. The story of the Roman beast is continued in Revelation chapters 12 and 13 - aspects of all four of the beast empires can be found in Revelation 13:2. The beast appears or is mentioned again in Revelation chapters 14 to 17. Shortly before the beast meets his final end - just like the image empire, being destroyed by the Lord Jesus Christ - we are told in Revelation 17:17, about the horn nations of Europe: "For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled."

What we are seeing transpire in Europe was prophesied long ago. The kingdoms of Europe will hand over their sovereignty to the beast empire. The image empire will stand up once more, it will be dreadful and terrible. The nations of Europe will not only relinquish banking authority and sovereignty over economic matters. Over time they will lose other freedoms as well, in particular they will lose religious freedoms. The Catholic Church has not changed, when they get their power back they will be as terrible as ever. Incidentally in Canada, a Quebec nationalist party is proposing a law, which is where things start and religious freedoms are lost. The National Post reports: "The PQ plan would forbid employees in public institutions from wearing overt religious symbols. The policy would apply to kippahs, hijabs and turbans but not to necklaces, like the crucifix."

So however boring the Euro crisis gets, it becomes very interesting when we see the future of Europe being shaped and as we begin to see the nations of Europe handing over sovereignty to the beast empire. We certainly don't look forward to the standing up of this formidable image empire, who has a history of shedding the blood of the saints of Jesus Christ. Yet we do look forward with anticipation, when we realize that these events are leading to the manifestation of Jesus Christ in the earth.
